Opera?A breeze tosses delicate crystal flakes, aloft above cold street. The shards of glass dust the rooftops, small coloured lights refracted therein like pale imitations of the Northern Lights. The road is slick, with rims of snow banks like the icing on a cake.
It opens with a 'cold' sax solo, chimes tinkling. Like icy wind. Add light jazz piano chords. pp

Heavy boots crunch in the new-fallen snow. A man enters, bulky with winter clothing. His body is hunched under the weight of a large backpack, body contorted to fight the wind and carry several over-stuffed travelling bags. His face is partially hidden by a heavy sca Opera?

CanadaSnow and black ice still stalk us, it's true, but Deep in the heart of the land is my home.
Despite how my feet itch to wander and roam I'll

Away from the city, its poisonous air, is a Land, scarred with quartz. I long to be there. The Trees have grown tall, they speak to me, sweet, where the Wind and the loon replace cars and the street.

NightmareI fall inconspicuously, off a clifftop,
Through the volumes of missed oppritunities, Through the void of the Self. Though I cling wildly to the rocks and the weeds,
It turns out that they were hands,
Each letting go in turn.
Regardless of how I claw and reach,
The hands release me, one by one.
The very last set of hands are attatched to arms, which are attatched to a body, on which perches your head.

Reading: Reading up on my music theory.
Watching: ... want to watch Rudolph again.
Playing: More piano than I could before.
Eating: Nuthin. I don't feel too well.
Drinking: A peppermint mocha latte... not helping the stummy

Ahh, it's been a while, deviantart journal system. Plenty has happened, in the realm of schooling, but that is for another time.

A deviantart journal is for discussing art, of course, so this is what I shall attempt to do, since I've been surrounded by forms of art lately. I've been attending a fair amount of concerts as a part of my schooling, and it's been quite enlightening. I miss music is small ensembles. I've been working in either solo settings or in large ensembles of 100+ people. There hasn't been much time for small, intimate groups.

I've been learning a lot, though. True, I've thoughts to drop out, but for now, I'm still in uni.

I miss jazz.

In the realm of visual arts of various forms, there's a new very exciting shoot coming up with Princess that I'm totally pumped for. We're attempting a black and white nude shoot, with a "Mother Earth"/"Gaea" kind of theme. WOO! I'm totally excited. Very much so. A little nervous, yeah, but I trust the photographer, and my boyfriend will likely be on-site, as it were. Just for fun.

Anyway, when that's all done, I'll either post the results or link to them in Princess' account. Again, I'm super super excited.

Any other ideas, anyone? I'm open for them. Though I should say, I'm avoiding explicit images. I'm not that confident. As much as I'm sure that would find me lots of viewers... that might be an interesting experiment, actually. How many more viewers are attracted with more explicit images in one's gallery?

But anyway. I'm still not that confident.
